I went with my buds Ian and Josh, and we got to meet a hell of a lot of great people. The folks at Dumbrella were stupid enough to let us sit at their booth. (suckers!) Jon and Phillip of Goats, R. Stevens of Diesel Sweeties, Jeff Rowland of Wigu, and Andrew Bell of Creatures in My Head are inspiring, hilarious, and generally awesome folks. It was great spending time with them, and I learned a whole lot about making merchandise, selling said merchandise, and handlng the whole thing in a very businesslike but fun manner.
Other webcartoonists attending included (but were not limited to!) Ryan North of Dinosaur Comics, one of the most hilarious and well-drawn reads on the internet. He shared a booth with Joey Comeau and Emily Horne of A Softer World, Steve Carey of Poppycock Circus, and Rosemary Mosco of Bird and Moon. The latter two comics I picked up a book from, and they are great reads that I'd recommend. My friends and I also got to hang with Jeffry Faden, a long-time e-friend in webcomics who turned out to be not scary! (What a disappointment... sike!)
I'd like to thank all the SD readers who came out to say hello. It was the first convention I've gone to since the comic gained a following, and it was great to hear kind words from fans in person. I hope to see even more of you at Comic Con!
Which allows for me to segue into this next thing - MERCHANDISE

The official Super Friends with Benefits shirt is underway! The first run will be sold at Comic Con next month, and afterwards they will be available online for everyone. The price is $15. If I have any shirts left after the convention, they will be sold online right away (otherwise, a second run will take a couple of weeks). So if you want to grab a shirt as soon as possible, I suggest you preorder one. Preorders for August will begin later this week.
And thas'sall!
